b.
A few years ago, when I was a student, I arranged to meet a friend who visited London for a weekend. Unfortunately, I forgot to ask him one very important thing-the full name and address of his hotel. I didn't have any way to contact him, so I just decided to look for him in the busiest street in the city! What was I think? Anyway, I began to give up when-you've guessed it-I looked up and saw my friend. He was walking straight towards me, with a big smile on his face.

1. That was the first time I had met her.
2. We weren't hungry because we had eaten lunch already.
3. Everyone had gone to bed when I got home.
4. We arrived late but luckily the film hadn't started.
5. They took my plate away but I didn't finished.
6. Had Jon seen the film before? Yes-he saw it last week.

Why is he gesturing at you like that?  Have you done something wrong?
If you can’t hear me, you could lean forward a little.
Just nod your head if it’s too painful to talk.
Do I look nervous? I feel terrified!
I’ve been trying to make eye contact with her for ages, but she’s not looking this away.
Give him a warm smile and everything will be fine.
When you fold your arms, does it mean you’re upset with me?

2.b

Have you ever told a joke where no one laughed?
She never says goodbye when she leaves the house.
I can’t tell the difference between these computers.
I crashed my bike into the wall and my dad really told me off.
It’s never to late to say sorry.
He didn’t even say thank you for the present.
