Life is easier nowadays than it was when our grandparents were children

In this era of unprecedented technological advancements and widely unmonitored exposure to all types of media, the question whether life is easier and more convenient nowadays than it was when our grandparents were children, is a controversial topic to debate about. Myriads of people strongly assume that nowadays life is more convenient, easier, and enjoyable because of our century's technological equipment and opportunities while others do not accede to this dimension, claiming that the busy schedule of the twenty-first century is making present generations life harder and our grandparents' childhood better than ours. Considering all the pros and cons of this issue, I am inclined to conclude that today’s living condition are more comfortable and easier than those of our previous generation. My thesis is formed by the considerations which will be stated in the following paragraphs.

First and foremost, it goes without saying that in our century there are plenty of  equipment that make our life easier and more comfortable The modern world has better facilities in each and every sector, may it be health, communication, education, transportation, entertainment and many more. Let's take the example of education. In the past, children were satisfied with only a few books, which were the same for everyone and had limited information. And now, thanks to the Internet, courses, thousands of experiments and books, there is a lot of information for education. A compelling example of this can be my own experience: a few months ago you decided to learn Korean, I wanted to learn by myself and I really didn't know where to start. I decided to write Korean language courses for beginners on YouTube, and you can't imagine how many materials it brought, and thanks to those materials, I started to learn, then I went to the Telegram page from the advertisement on the YouTube page, from there I found free courses, and that is how I self-educated. Contemplating on all of this, it turns out that nowadays everything you need, or the question that is bothering you, can be found directly on the Internet and you will find everything you need within seconds, which is very accessible and convenient.

Furthermore, it is crucial to highlight the fact that someone can call or reach his friend with smartphone  apps even without paying a charge. Twenty years ago, people were paying a fortune for calling any friends living abroad. Today we can do it freely and limitlessly. All we need is to know the phone number or the nickname of the person we want to connect with. Not to mention the devices that make everyday life easier: washing machine, dishwasher, robot vacuum cleaner, smart TV, shower, smart watch, and many other things that make life easier. And at the time of our grandparents, there were no such things and life was sometimes difficult, for example, there was no washing machine and all the clothes were washed by hand, which harmed their health, time, and everyday life. Hence, I affirm the fact that our lives are easier than our grandparents' when they were children․

To sum it up, the spectrum of opinions people may entertain regarding the topic of the ease and difficulty of our and our grandparents' lifestyles can be extremely wide. But still, I am against the original statement, taking into consideration such factors as the technological innovations, equipment, developments and opportunities of our century․
